JANINE MARTINO (PRESIDENT)

Dr. Janine Martino, PharmD, BCOP is a clinical Oncology/Hematology Pharmacist at UC San Diego. She graduated from The University of Sciences in Philadelphia in 2009 and went on to complete a Post-Doctoral acute care residency at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center in 2011. Dr. Galasso worked as an Oncology Pharmacist in both medical and gynecologic oncology at Pinnacle Health System before going on to complete a second Post-Doctoral residency in Hematology/Oncology at UC San Diego in 2013. She serves as the primary preceptor for the inpatient Heme/Onc rotation at UCSD and the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

COREY EDWARDS (SECRETARY)

Dr. Edwards, PharmD completed a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy Residency at Western University of Health Sciences and a PGY-2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency at the VA in La Jolla. He is currently a Clinical Analytics Manager at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc.  His work interests include community practice, ambulatory care, technology, healthcare analytics, and helping colleagues develop skills to use available tools to the fullest extent possible. He has previously served as President of SDCPhA.  

DAVID B. (TREASURER)

David B., CSP, MSCS, AAHIVP, BCOP graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2001 and has been practicing in San Diego County for 18 years, currently working as a staff pharmacist for BriovaRx pharmacy. He enjoys working with and precepting student local pharmacists. In his free time, David enjoys playing with his kids and running.

JENNIFER HENDRICKS (BOARD MEMBER)

Dr. Jennifer Hendricks, PharmD, APh, BCACP, CDE graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy and went on to complete a PGY-1 Community Pharmacy residency with the University of Cincinnati and Kroger Pharmacy. Dr. Humeniuk worked as a clinical community pharmacist with Kroger Pharmacies in Cincinnati before relocating to California, where she worked as a pharmacy manager and patient care coordinator with Ralphs Pharmacy.  She currently works as a Manager of Medication Management at MedImpact Healthcare Systems.  Dr. Humeniuk is licensed as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist and is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist as well as a Certified Diabetes Educator.  She is also a graduate of CPhA's Leadership Development Institute (LDI) and serves on the inaugural board of CPhA's Pharmacy Leadership Network (PLN).

SEUNG OH (BOARD MEMBER)

Dr. Seung Oh, PharmD, MAS graduated from The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy in 2013. He has been a pharmacist-in-charge at Vons Pharmacy in San Diego for about 6 years and has been precepting students from 4 different schools including The University of Arizona, Midwestern University-Glendale, UCSD, and the University of Hawaii. His main passion is pharmacy innovation and management efficiency. He has been involved in developing innovative apps and devices that will ideally improve patients’ access and quality to healthcare. Seung has also been involved with local lobbying groups in advancing pharmacists' work conditions and improving pharmacists standing as a healthcare professional and is recently appointed to the California State Board of Pharmacy. Seung is also a travel aficionado flying about 100000 miles each year.

ALEX LULI (BOARD MEMBER)

Dr. Alex Luli, PharmD, BCACP is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California San Diego, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences where he teaches in various courses, including a self-care pharmacy practice course provided to first-year student pharmacists. He practices in a community pharmacy, as well as a primary care clinic serving uninsured and underserved patients. He also precepts pharmacy learners of all levels, including undergraduate students interested in the profession and PGY1 pharmacy residents. Dr. Luli’s interests include advancing patient care services in the community setting, enhancing experiential training for students and residents, and public awareness and outreach regarding safe and proper use of medications, herbals, and supplements.

SHERRY IBRAHIM (STUDENT LIAISON)

Sherry Ibrahim skipped her last year of high school, went to Norco College for two years, and graduated with an Associate Degree in Math and Science. She then transferred to the University of California, Riverside and graduated with a BS in Biology with honors. She is currently a P1 student at the University of California, San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is mostly interested in clinical and industrial pharmacy. She is going to be completing her summer research project at Pfizer, La Jolla.

LISA PHAM (IMMEDIATE-PAST PRESIDENT)

Dr. Lisa Pham, PharmD graduated from the University of California, San Diego for her undergraduate education, and Western University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy for her PharmD. She is currently a pharmacist at Rite Aid Pharmacy. She enjoys volunteering at health fairs or other community events as time permits. Outside of pharmacy, she also regularly spends her free time at Disneyland with friends and family.
